A local school principal is suspended from her job and charged with theft and misconduct.

 

Lakecia Hyman, principal of the Uptown School Complex in Atlantic City, is accused of collecting and keeping more than $10,000 meant for fundraising accounts. (Press of Atlantic City).  She was officially suspended with pay back in February 2014 while the investigation was being conducted.  It almost sounds like a vacation, right?

 

Her first court appearance will be Wednesday morning, and she's facing five to ten years prison time.
