If you haven't heard, some New Jersey lawmakers are proposing a bill that would eliminate beach tags. Obviously, that isn't sitting well with the leaders of some beach towns.

Nearly two dozen officials from all around Cape May County called on state legislators to drop the proposed bill today, reports the Press of Atlantic City.

The bill would eliminate beach tags in communities that accept state and federal funding for beach replenishment.

Irresponsible, inconsistent and silly were just a few of the words elected leaders, administrators and beach patrol officers used to describe the bill. They all said the law would dramatically affect beachfront governments.

Meanwhile, what do you think? Do you mind paying for beach access?
