Local Motel Robbed at Gunpoint

Three armed men stole cash and jewelry from a local motel last night...

The crime was reported at The Royal Lodge Motel in Absecon just before 9:30 p.m.

According to NBC 40, '

Three men entered the motel's office and asked about room rates, before forcing their way behind the counter.

The suspects then tied and held five victims at gunpoint, eventually making off with $3,000 in cash and $2,600 worth of jewelry and electronics.

The victims were eventually able to free themselves, and contacted police.

The suspects are being described as black men between 25-35 years old, all wearing black jackets, jeans, black boots and gray knitted hats with facemasks.

They left the scene in a dark-colored SUV.
