The Women’s Center of Southern New Jersey is holding a spring luncheon and fundraiser to benefit individuals in the community affected by violence.

The mission of The Women's Center is 'to empower individuals and families by working to secure their physical safety, emotional well-being, individual freedom and economic equality has guided their service programs, which are focused on ending domestic violence, sexual assault and all forms of human trafficking', according to acwc.org.

This Thursday, April 27th TWC will hold it's 'Spring Fling' at Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point. The luncheon and fundraiser will highlight the Center’s 42 years of support and service to individuals and families. The event goes from 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. and will feature talks by Assemblyman Chris Brown and Senator Diane Allen.

The Women’s Center is an inclusive social service agency which seeks to improve the status of individuals and communities by working to end oppression and violence while engaging, educating and empowering diverse and marginalized communities. The Center provides free and confidential services through a 24/7 hotline, emergency protective shelter, crisis response to hospitals and police departments, transitional housing, individual and group counseling, advocacy and accompaniment, self-sufficiency and job readiness training, technical assistance community education and mobilization, according to recent press release from acwc.org.
