After 20 years of service within Burlington County, a local veteran received special honors for his dedication.

It's always nice to see a veteran being appreciated for his/her continued efforts to make the world a better place on a local or global scale.

Mount Holly's Mayor and Town Council presented a certificate of appreciation to retired private first class, Lawrence Gladfelter, says NBC10 Philadelphia.

Gladfelter served the U.S. military during the 1960s. Following this, he dedicated 20 years of service with the Burlington County Sheriff's Office, the American Legion and Mount Holly's neighborhood watch program.

We applaud and salute him for making it his mission to give back to his community and country!
