Lindsay Conroy and Mike Feeley, of Morris Plains, will exchange wedding vows on New Year's Eve at the Yacht Club in Ocean City. The newlyweds then plan to take a dip in the waters off Ocean City during the annual HERO Polar Plunge.

Bride-to-be Conroy, sober since high school, tells Press of Atlantic City the plunge, which promotes safe and sober driving, is the ideal location to ring in her first New Year as a married woman.

The Ocean City’s plunge, hosted by our own Mike Richman of The Mike Show, will benefit the John R. Elliott HERO Campaign for Designated Drivers. Organizers hope to raise $20,000 from this festive event.

The HERO Campaign is a national non-profit organization that advocates the use of designated drivers. The charity is named for John Elliott, a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, who was killed by a drunk driver in July 2000.

You can join Team The Mike Show, with Mike as your captain, and receive a limited edition SoJO 104.9 winter beanie cap!
