Local Bridge Reopens for the First Time in Four Years

For the first time in four years, a key road to the shore is finally reopened.

Due to Tropical Storm Irene, the English Creek Bridge has been closed since August 2011.  As of this past Friday, traffic was back on the road.  The reconstructd bridge will now connect Mays Landing- Somers Point Road, and will take heavy summer traffic away from the residential areas.

New traffic flow will be monitored for safety, but for the most part, everyone can agree that the reconstructed bridge will certainly be a relief.
