Lightning Strikes Local Home

A crazy day of storms and tornado warnings yesterday also involved a home getting struck by lightning!

The house was in Egg Harbor Township on Golden Court.

According to authorities, the residents just noticed that the power went off, and then turn back on.  Moments later, police knocked on their door and had everybody evacuate immediately.

According to NBC 40, when people left the home, they saw flames and smoke coming from the condo unit.

Everybody evacuated unharmed and are safe.
