The Miss New Jersey competition was as emotional a night for outgoing crown holder Kaitlyn Schoeffel as it was for the new one, Jaime Gialloreto.

Kaitlyn marked her final time removing the Miss New Jersey crown from her head in a post on her Instagram. Followed by a photo with Gialloreto, of Woolwich Township, Miss New Jersey 2018, who won the title Saturday night on the Ocean City Music Pier.

Congratulations to Jaime, a graduate of Kingsway Regional High School, and best of luck competing to become the next Miss America September 9th at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Hopefully she fairs as well or BETTER than Kaitlyn Schoeffel, who made it all the way to the Top 5. One category Jaime will not be competing in is swimsuit. That was recently removed from the Miss America program.
