Take a pair of alum of SNL, throw in a former Oscar nominated actor known more today for his stints on reality TV, a child star now in his teen years, a former Cosby kid, a former L.A. Laker, and a Jersey guy known for his MTV stint as a VJ and you have a new entry into the fall TV season.

Bill Bellamy (born and bred in The Garden State, and a Rutgers grad) leads an ensemble cast of several in Mr. Box Office, which is bound for cable starting this fall.  Known for his stint on MTV in the mid-to-late 90s as one of the most popular VJ's of that era, Bellamy has carved his niche in stand-up comedy (he's responsible for the term "Booty Call"), and on the big screen ("Any Given Sunday", "How To Be A Player", and upcoming "Noobz" with Monmouth County native Jason Mewes).

Bill has tried to succeed in a scripted series for TV with not great success.  Mr. Box Office gives Bellamy a real chance  being that the show is bound for cable (where most of the best shows seem to wind up these days) and the premise seems interesting - a major movie star is sentenced to community service at an inner city high school in South Central Los Angeles.

The cast joining Bellamy is eclectic - featuring former SNL cast members Jon Lovitz and Tim Meadows, former NBA star Rick Fox (was on Dancing With The Stars in 2010), Cosby Show alum Keshia Knight Pulliam (Rudy is now 33, and grew up in NJ - Rutgers Prep alum), Tequan Robinson ("Everybody Hates Chris"), Gary Busey (last seen acting crazy on The Celebrity Apprentice) and Vivica A. Fox.

Look for Mr. Box Office staring in September.
