South Jersey ATV riders rejoiced when the state announced it might develop an ATV park in the Pinelands back in 2007. Apparently, it will not be happening.

Many rider were excited when the 2007 NJ.com story started to appear again in social media. But NJ.com reports, that due to local opposition and concerns the site wasn't well-suited for an ATV park.

State and local officials confirmed Monday that the proposed ATV Park in Monroe Township will not be happening.

But don't worry! If you're saddened by this news, there is still a site in Woodbine, Cape May County. The Cape May County location is the only one of three proposed ATV parks that actually followed through.

Still, another ATV park would have been really cool!

If you're wondering what's going to happen to that land in the Pinelands, it's going to now be part of a wildlife management.
