Inside the womb of Sarah Thistlethwaite, her identical twin girls couldn't have formed a closer bond.  And upon their arrival into the world this weekend, they still would not let go of each other.

Tiny Jillian and Jenna Thistlethwaite were born yesterday in Ohio having survived a highly life-threatening condition.  The infants shared occupied the same amniotic sac and placenta inside mom Sarah, deadly because of the risk of the tangling of umbilical cords. The odds of such an occurance?  One in 10,000.  And as doctors delivered the girls, they held onto each other tight.

Sarah, 32, told Mirror.co.uk: "I can't believe they were holding hands. That's amazing. They're already best friends."

Despite a successful delivery, Jillian and Jenna needed to be placed on ventilators for a short time that have since been removed.
