A viewing and funeral for Millville Police officer Christopher Reeves is being held today while the man responsible for his death sits in a hospital bed.

More than a thousand law enforcement officers and members of the community have filled the Lakeside Middle School Performing Arts Center to pay their respects to Officer Reeves who was killed in an auto accident July 8 by a suspect evading police.

Several dignitaries made the trip to the service to say goodbye including U.S. Representative Frank LoBiondo who told PressofAtlanticCity.com:

“We should have a new appreciation for what police officers and first responders do for us.”
