Before you celebrate your birthday, you might have to take a (hopefully) quick trip to MVC thanks to new legislation that's being considered by the state.Okay, granted no one particularly wants to stop by the DMV on their birthday, and you don't necessarily have to either!

The Budget Committee considered a new measure on Thursday to change the driver's license expiration dates from the last day of the month, to your birthday every four years.

Seems pretty easy to remember, right?

Well, the idea is that by changing expiration dates to birthdays the wait times at the Motor Vehicle Commission will be shorter, versus everyone rushing on the same day. (Still, we know that we will be waiting a long time anyway let's be real)

For now, this legislation has to be approved by the senate committee before it goes before Senate for consideration.

Stay tuned!
