Imagine going to class with zero access to a computer.  It almost sounds like when you and I went to school, right? Unfortunately, this situation is a lot worse than somebody turning off a computer.

The Gloucester County School District network was hijacked and held for ransom.  According to 6ABC, the network was hijacked by 'a malware that is so new it's undetectable by current anti-virus software.  The hackers demanded 500 bitcoin - an online currency worth roughly $125,000 in real cash.'

Really? Let's hold a small community school district's internet for ransom, that will be the real jackpot!

IT workers have worked hard at rebuilding the network and making it more safe and secure.  Testing has resumed for the students, and the staff now has access to email again.
