In his state of the state address, Governor Chris Christie apologized for the Bridgegate drama, and then proceeded to push more school....

Wait, more school?  As in longer school days, and a longer school year.

The Governor stated, 'Our school calendar is antiquated both educationally and culturally. Life in 2014 demands something more for our students.”

Christie also added 'If my children are living under the same school calendar that I lived under, by definition that school calendar is antiquated – antiquated both educationally and culturally for the world we live in.  It is time to lengthen both the school day and school year in New Jersey.... These children need more time in school, some of them to catch up, some of them to excel more.'

Details about this proposal will be revealed soon...
