In a very terrifying situation, a young good Samaritan wasted no time to save a stranger's life.

A SEPTA passenger was walking on the platform when he lost his footing and fell on the tracks below.  In the surveillance video, you can see everybody immediately horrified and stepping away.  It was 28-year old Charles Collins of South Philadelphia that immediately sprang into action without hesitation. He jumped five feet below, picked up the passenger who fell, and tried to get him to safety.  Several other passengers then helped Charles and the injured man back to the platform.

According to 6ABC, Collins suffered a minor leg injury, while the man who fell suffered a broken back, a shattered knee, broken ribs, and a severe injury to his spleen that may require surgery.
