Girl Scout Thin Mint Recipe Has Changed

Little Brownie Bakers have altered the recipe for Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies. NO!!!!

Sorry, I get a little dramatic when it comes to my cookies. In actuality the change isn't that drastic. In fact, now vegans can enjoy the glorious thin mint.

Girl scout cookies are made by two different manufacturers, ABC Bakers (already vegan) and Little Brownie Bakers who provide Jersey's girl scout cookies.

Little Brownie Bakers is removing whey from their Thin Mint recipe. Whey is the liquid remaining after milk has been curdled and strained.

Lynn Apolinaro of Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey said:

Girl Scouts are excited to share that Thin Mints are now vegan and have the same delicious taste.

 

We can all breathe easy now. All is right in the world.
