Nope, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. On Monday night, drivers in South Jersey saw gas prices as low as $1.47!

So why the sudden drop? Apparently the price of oil is dropping, and dropping fast. Just last Friday, a barrel of oil was under $30 a gallon, however looking back to the summer of 2015, barrels of gas were at an outstanding $107 per gallon.

According to AAA spokesman, Jim Lardear, we should expect to see new low gas price records. Right now, the average national price for a gallon is $1.90, compared to the $3.68 in 2014.

It's not as low as Michigan's (last time I checked theirs is at $0.47), but still not too bad!
