Stealing money from the Volunteer Fire Company that made you a hero isn't exactly the way to go.

In Upper Township, former Seaville Fire Chief Eugene Spiegel and his son Jacob stole $46,000 from the Seaville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company by submitting fraudulent invoices and receipts they were then reimbursed for. (NBC 40)

Eugene resigned immediately after he was confronted.  His 20-year old son, meanwhile, stayed on.  He was later suspended and eventually terminated.

Both men are facing jail time for several charges including theft by deception and misconduct.
