The folks that volunteer at The Holy Redeemer Food Pantry in Swainton would like to spread the word that they really need a helping hand this holiday season.

Via a press release from the City of Sea Isle City, according to Rocco Santarcangelo, a long-time volunteer at the pantry, food supplies are running low and if more donations are not made soon it might not be a merry Christmas for struggling area families. Santarcangelo says there is a specific need for frozen turkeys and canned hams as the demand is high this year for many local families who need assistance.

If you can lend a helping hand, donations can be made at the food pantry located behind the Holy Redeemer Home Care Facility on Route 9 in Swaiton on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9AM-Noon. For more information, call (609) 463-6027.
