The flags will be lowered Monday in tribute to who was among six Marines killed Jan. 19 when their helicopter went down in Afghanistan.

Reinhard grew up in Woodbridge and was a 2005 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Metuchen. He also attended Ramapo College and Middlesex County College before enlisting in the Marines in 2008.

The 25-year-old was serving his second tour of duty overseas and was due to return home in a few weeks.

Reinhard and the other Marines were assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 363, Marine Aircraft Group 24, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force based in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.
