A forest fire that began at 3PM Wednesday afternoon has already consumed about 225 acres, and will very well consume more before it finally dies down.

An estimated 1,500 acres of woodlands inside the Bevans Wildlife Management Area in Cumberland County is expected to burn.  Firefighters are still hard at work, but the gusty winds that we've been getting is a factor.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported and no structures have been threatened.
