Another fire broke out in South Jersey, this time it was spotted in the biggest state forest in New Jersey.

More fires continue to burn,  and more smoke is being seen for miles in Cumberland County and Wharton State Forest.  As of last night, about 1,000 acres of the Wharton State Forest has been consumed, and about 50% percent of it has been contained.

The good news is, according to NBC 40, that authorities believe they can keep the fire from spreading. No injuries or property damage have been reported either.

Either way, this blaze is one of many fires spotted in South Jersey lately due to dry conditions.  Hopefully the rain that we get this week will help contain and prevent more fires from happening.
