If you plan on doing some 4-wheeling on the beach in Brigantine this year, you only have a couple more days to get the discounted price on a permit.

Wednesday March 1st, the permit fees will rise from $160 to $175, or from $80 to $85,  if you are over age 60 or are permanently disabled.

Four-wheel-drive permits, beach badges and parking permits can be purchased at the Community Center, 265 42nd Street. For more information on costs and fees see bb-nj.org or call 609-266-7350, ext. 1.

Parking permits, 4x4 permits and beach badges must all be purchased in person. They cannot be purchased online.

This year, Brigantine will use a scanner system on  4X4 vehicle permits at the three beach points of access to better ensure drivers are following the rules of the beach and that they are in the vehicle authorized to use the permit.
