The New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (NJHMFA) is hosting a free housing Expo on May 30 in Atlantic City for homebuyers and homeowners.

The expo is open to the public and takes place from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Claridge Hotel – Conference Center, 123 S. Indiana Ave.

If you're looking to buy a home, learn how you can get $10,000 in forgivable financing to cover your down payment or closing costs through NJHMFA. NJHMFA is hosting two homebuying sessions: 2 to 4 p.m., and 6 to 8 p.m., and you can sign up for your choice when registering to attend.

The open house expo also enables attendees to stop by throughout the day to meet with and get additional information from lenders, housing counselors, realtors, social service providers and more.

If you're a homeowner struggling to meet your mortgage, New Jersey's Homesaver program offers up to $50,000 in assistance. You can meet one-on-one during the day with a HUD-certified housing counselor, who will confidentially review your case and help you apply.
