Early Morning Fire Threatens Local Family

A fire that began in a dryer at a local home threatened a family, including three children.

According to NBC 40, Atlantic City firefighters responded around 1:15 a.m n the 500 block of North Kentucky Avenue between Caspian and Wabash Avenues.

The good news is that a mother, along with her three children, managed to escape without any life threatening injuries.  However, local fire fighters spent several hours airing out the heavy smoke.

The majority of the damage was in the kitchen, no word on the damage to the rest of the home.
