An early morning accident in Washington Township claimed one life, and injured four other victims including a 4-year old boy.  Police suspect alcohol may have contributed to the crash.
A Nissan Maxima being driven by 27-year old James Catona was traveling south along the 200 block of Delsea Drive in Washington Twp., Gloucester County, when it slammed head-on into a Honda Civic approximately 12:50 a.m., 6abc.com reports.

The driver of the Civic, 26-year-old Michael Williams of Woodbine was pronounced dead at the scene.

Williams' 4-year-old son, who was seated behind his father, and 24-year-old Marcus Owens of Millville, were also injured.

Catona reportedly suffered minor injuries. He has been charged with vehicular homicide and two counts of assault by auto. In addition, he was charged with one count of hindering apprehension resulting from statements he allegedly made to police.

His bail was set at $150,000 cash.

All of the injured were transported to and treated by Cooper Medical Center in Camden.
