Dump Truck Accident Kills One in Deptford

An accident near the intersection of Delsea Drive and Fox Run Road has ended in one fatality today in Deptford.

The crash, which happened approximately 12:45 pm involved a Deptford Township vehicle and a silver sedan being driven by an 82-year-old man, 6abc.com reports.

The man was attempting to make a U-turn on Delsea Drive (Rt. 47).  He was killed when his vehicle was struck from behind by the Deptford public works department dump truck.

The dump truck driver was not injured but was transported to a nearby hospital.

Delsea Drive was shut down for a time, but is now open.
