Dump Truck Accident in Pemberton Township Leaves 1 Person Dead [VIDEO]

A dump truck collided with a van early Thursday morning in Pemberton Twp., costing one person their life.

The accident happened at the intersection of Rt. 70 and Lakehurst Road at 6:45 a.m.

Video posted by 6abc.com shows the dump truck lying on its side next to a severely smashed white van.

One victim died at the scene, while one other was taken to Lourdes Emergency Department at Deborah. There is no word yet on the condition of that person. Police have not released the names of those involved.

An investigation continues into the cause of the crash, which shut down a stretch of Rt. 70 between Pasadena Road and Rt. 539 while the scene was cleared.
