New Jersey drivers, rejoice! You are still able to drink your morning coffee on your way to work.

Perhaps you've heard some buzz that drinking coffee while driving may result in a ticket? Well, we can all relax because we don't have to worry about getting a ticket for this in New Jersey any time soon.

Courier-Post reassures that the 'distracted driving' bill doesn't specifically say coffee despite the buzz that it's included.

According to Democratic Assemblyman John Wisniewski, the bill is only aimed towards discouraging distracted driving. He goes on to say he 'cannot imagine' a police officer would pull anyone over just for drinking coffee.

This new legislation will ban "any activity unrelated to the actual operation of a motor vehicle in a manner that interferes with the safe operation of the vehicle."

Zero mention of eating or drinking!

The Assemblyman has experienced a very big reaction to this bill leaving him with an inbox full of complaints since news spread throughout New Jersey.

I have to admit, one of my favorite pieces of news surrounding this bill, is that it was originally introduced to stop people from eating sandwiches and driving.

Hahaha, could you blame us? Who wants to wait to eat their Wawa sandwich at home when its sitting right in the passenger's seat?

Entirely joking, but stay focused while driving everyone!
