Police in Pleasantville are searching for a driver who struck and killed a man over the weekend.

The incident happened around 5 a.m. Saturday between Chestnut Avenue and New Road, 6abc.com reports.

Police said the victim was on W. Black Horse Pike when he was hit and seriously injured. The vehicle did not stop. It is described as possibly maroon color, and should have front end damage to the lower portion of the bumper.

The man's body was discovered in the right lane of the road with a bicycle nearby. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are not releasing the victim's name until family can be reached.
