The road was closed off Thursday morning as police and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office investigated the scene.

No cause of death has been determined pending an autopsy, but if Amber's death is ruled a homicide, it would mark the 29th homicide in Atlantic County in 2012.

PressofAtlanticCity.com reports Swigert had a criminal record, having served jail time for aggravated assault, criminal trespass and theft. She has just been released on November 23.  She was a graduate of Egg Harbor Township High School in 2002.
