A woman was rescued by the Coast Guard after she was injured by a boat that ran aground the Jersey Shore coast on Sunday afternoon.

According to NBC10, the Coast Guard received an anonymous call about a 23 foot-center boat that ran aground near Brielle railroad bridge.

At the time of NBC10's report, there were no details on the woman's condition, but it's understood that she has suffered a few injuries to her head and neck.

It's unknown what caused the accident, and the woman's identity remains anonymous.

For now, the Coast Guard gives credit to people in the area for calling them whenever they see someone needs help. Because of these people, the Coast Guard is able to aid those who need it.
