When American Idol overhauled it's judging panel last year, fans were hoping that some former contestants would be considered for the job.  Names like Jennifer Hudson and Clay Aiken were thrown around, but nothing came of the rumors.  Well, now two of the most popular Idol alumni are indeed returning to the show...as mentors.

Season 5 finalist Chris Daughtry and season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert will return to American Idol on February 18 and 19 to work with the contestants in a new segment of the show called "Randy Jackson's Boot Camp".

The workshop led by the former judge  will allow the new batch of AI hopefuls the opportunity to polish their performances before the first round of voting begins.
