A 9-year old girl died following an accident in Mt. Holly Sunday night.

The crash took place near Route 541 and Cadillac Road in Mt. Holly, Burlington Township.

The child was travelling with her family when their white SUV, attempting to turn into a local Walmart,  was struck by a green Toyota sedan.  That vehicle reportedly ran a red light according to police.

The SUV landed upside down, trapping its five occupants.  The family was transported to Lourdes Medical Center where the 9-year old girl was pronounced dead.  The other victims remain in serious condition, no word on the extent of the injuries of the driver of the green Toyota.
