Schools across the nation are upping their security in wake of the Parkland, Florida school shooting, and Cherry Hill is the next school district up to make a change.

A new security measure is being rolled out in all Cherry Hill high schools that will now feature armed police officers.

The public schools will now have 2 armed guards that will be on duty throughout the entire week. The new security change in the district took effect on Monday.

But the security doesn't stop at the high school level. In early 2019 the middle schools and elementary schools will be employing 5 additional guards at each.
