No more fireworks!!!

For the first time in 20 years, Cherry Hill is saying 'No' to Fourth of July fireworks, all in the name of safety.  The field at Cherry Hill School West can only take but so many people, and the large crowds have become a concern.

Cherry Hill Mayor Chuck Cahn said,“This decision was not made lightly, and in fact, nobody is more disappointed about this change than me and the members of Township Council.  However, this move has enabled us to reallocate the resources previously dedicated to our fireworks display and direct them toward exciting new programming that will benefit the community all summer long.” (NBC 10)

While the Mayor is disappointed, residents are even more disappointed, and wonder why officials can't find a bigger place to hold the event.

Something tells me we're going to be see even more people head to the shore on the 4'th!
