As of 9:30 Thursday night, the toll has been waived on the Margate Bridge. A call from WPG Talk Radio 1450 morning host Harry Hurley apparently played a key role in getting the toll waived.
It's not known how long the toll will be waived.
Facebook is catching fire as officials with the Margate Bridge are apparently charging evacuees to return to the storm-battered island.

President Barack Obama is in Brigantine right now. The President toured South Jersey and is addressing those affected by Hurricane Sandy.
Access to the Barrier Island communities of Atlantic City, Brigantine, Longport, Margate and Ventnor remains restricted at this time as per a directive from Governor Chris Christie.
Residents evacuated from Ocean City and Sea Isle City due to Hurricane Sandy are now able to return to their homes.
