Bodies of Missing Vineland Mom and Baby Found, Ex-Boyfriend Charged With Murder
It's a sad end to the search for Neidy Ramirez and her baby daughter, Genesis. Police say they were murdered by Ramirez' ex-boyfriend.
34-year-old Ricardo Santiago led police to a rural area of western Cumberland County where the bodies of the victims were found. He has been charged with two counts of murder and currently sits in jail on $1 million dollars cash bail, reports 6abc.com.
There is no word yet on a motive for the killings or of the condition of the bodies when they were discovered.
Vineland police say Neidy, 34, and Genesis, just 3-months-old, spent time with family on Thanksgiving. They were last seen Friday at a nearby laundromat. Her abandoned SUV was found along Route 55 on Saturday afternoon.
Ramirez had two other children, ages 5 and 8. Ricardo Santiago is the father of the 5-year-old. Those kids are now in the care of family members.
