Beyonce and Jay Z to Go ‘On the Run’ for Summer Tour
The lights and fireworks at Citizens Bank Park on July 5 will not be the brightest sight in Philadelphia. Top tier power couple Beyonce and Jay Z have announced a joint tour that will bring them to the City of Brotherly Love this Summer of SoJO.
Last summer Jay played the same park with Justin Timberlake. The only way to top that tour, was to bring the wifey along. I'm already mentally racking up the string of hits that will fill the stadium. This takes epic to a whole new level. Now that baby Blue Ivy is getting older, I guess the Carters figured they'd make touring a family affair.
The 16-city tour kicks off June 25th at Miami's Sun Life Stadium, hitting cities in the U.S. and Canada before finishing up August 5th in San Francisco's AT&T Park.
Earlier this month, the Los Angeles Times reported that the pair would be touring under the name The Mr. and Mrs. Carter Tour but changed it up last minute to be dubbed "On the Run", fitting for their 'Bonnie and Clyde' alter egos.
