After 37 years, this South Jersey gem has closed its doors for good.

The owners of the Freeway Diner in Deptford Township have retired, and so has their diner.  Memorial Day was the last day the diner was opened for business.  In a letter written to their loyal customers posted on Facebook, 'We have had the pleasure of serving the community for 37 years, and now it is time for us to retire and retire the diner along with us.'

The owners Jimmy, Nick, and Anna also added, 'The Freeway will always hold a special place in our hearts.  Here, we raised our families, gave our children their first steps in the world of employment, and educated them to be productive citizens.'

The diner was located along Hurfville road, near Route 42.
