Wharton Forest Fire Carries Smoke All The Way to New York

Did anybody smell smoke this morning?

A fire quickly broke out in the Batsto area around 5pm yesterday afternoon, causing smoke being seen in several locations from South Jersey to New York.

According to authorities, the fire was initially 30 acres, and later spread 1,500 acres.  Fire crews are still diligently working to keep the fire from spreading.

No injuries are reported at this time, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
