Barnegat Town Schools Reopen As Search For Escaped Inmate Continues

Barnegat Township schools reopen despite the ongoing search for escaped prisoner Arthur Buckel.

After being placed on lockdown yesterday, CBS Philly says Barnegat schools will reopen with police officers stationed at every school the entire day.

Police currently urge people to lock their doors and cars and continue to report any suspicious activity while they search for Buckel.

Due to the heavy rain, Buckel managed to remain hidden despite police and Coast Guard search efforts on Wednesday. Many residents have been assisting and alerting police of possibly sightings or any information they have.

For now, police ask for everyone to keep their eyes open and report any suspicious activity.
