When the movie 'Xanadu' starring Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly was released in 1980, it became one of the biggest flops of all time.  Not even a smash soundtrack full of number one singles could boost box office sales.  Still, 'Xanadu' turned into a cult classic with legions of fans, myself included.

This weekend, the theater group at Barnegat High School follows Broadway's lead, turning 'Xanadu' into a stage play!

'Xanadu' is truly my favorite movie of all time and I'm not ashamed to admit it.  It's one of the most original, most fun movie musicals ever.  Barnegat High School's spring production of 'Xanadu' starts tomorrow night, April 26th, and runs through this Sunday.

Barnegat High School is located at 180 Bengal Boulevard in Barnegat, New Jersey 08005.  For more information call 609-660-7510
