Attempted Armed Robbery at EHT Burger King Drive-Thru Lane

The drive-thru lane at Burger King on Tilton Road in Egg Harbor Township was the scene of an attempted armed robbery Sunday evening.

Just after 7:00 Sunday evening, Egg Harbor Township police responded to Burger King on Tilton Road in reference to an armed robbery. Officers say the victim was in the drive-thru lane when a person approached his passenger side window, brandished a handgun, and demanded the victim’s property. The victim pulled forward and began honking the horn; the suspect then fled the area on foot south on Hingston Avenue. The victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late teens or early 20’s, about 5’ 10” wearing a grey shirt, grey pants and a white hat.
