After two years since Showboat Casino and Hotel shut down, this Atlantic City hotel will reopen in July.

6ABC reports, that Showboat will keep its old name, but will no longer have a casino.

According to Philadelphia developer Bart Blatstein, Showboat will be a luxury resort without any gambling. He hopes that it won't need the gambling aspect in order to survive.

The former Showboat closed down in August 2014 and was one of the four casinos that went out of business that year, resulting in the loss of 2,000 jobs.

Another potential reasoning for no casino in the new Showboat, is the possibility of two new casinos in North Jersey, says 6ABC.

The hotel is set to open again July 12 or July 13.
