Adam Levine to Go Solo?

The answer is yes.  But not to worry, Adam is only breaking away from his Maroon 5 band mates for one night, to host Saturday Night Live on January 26.

However, Levine might not do much singing in his debut as host as rapper Kendrick Lamar has been booked as musical guest for the night.

There is a precedent though for musicians who've hosted the show without being the musical guest: Sting, Paul Simon, Jon Bon Jovi and Justin Timberlake have all done it.

Maroon 5 has performed on SNL four times before, and Adam has made cameo appearances in two of the skit show's digital shorts.

In 2012 Levine launched his acting career with pretty decent success.   He just finished shooting his first movie, and recently appeared on the 2^nd season of the TV series American Horror Story.
