If you grew up in New Jersey in the 80s and early 90s, you likely visited "Traction Park," also know as "Action Park" in Vernon.  Your memories of the controversial destination may be hitting the big screen.

CBS2

"Jackass" and "Bad Grandpa" star Johnny Knoxville is set to star and produce a movie based on the waterpark.  A report from Deadline says:

Imagine Knoxville and his cohorts have irresponsibly designed and operate their own theme park. What could go wrong?

Supposedly the film will be in the style of "Bad Grandpa" with a "fun 80s theme."

One of the puzzling aspects of this story is that production is set to begin in March in South Africa.  No word yet on whether any part of the flick will be shot in NJ.

Hopefully, Johnny and his writers have talked to people who experienced the real Action Park.  We could probably write the script for him with our collective stories!

This vintage video will definitely take you back!
