Dash camera video was released today showing graphic footage of a high speed chase through Pleasantville and Atlantic City that ended with the suspect being shot by police 45 times.

The chase after 27-year-old Antoquan T. Watson, of Williamstown, in March 2014 allegedly began after police were called to a Pleasantville restaurant following reports of a man brandishing a handgun.

Pleasantville police responded and gave chase after Watson who fled the scene. The chase down Albany Avenue and Atlantic City would eventually include officers from Egg Harbor Twp. and Atlantic City.

In the video released by Atlantic City Prosecutor's Office, Watson's SUV can be seen speeding through traffic, though stop signs and red lights, swerving in and out of lanes and around other vehicles. He reportedly fired shots at police during the pursuit, according to Courier Post.

The ordeal ended when Watson ran the red light on Atlantic Ave. near Caesars. After being was hit by a vehicle traveling on Missouri Ave. Watson's truck spun and came to a stop. That's when Watson stepped out of the vehicle and began firing several shots at police in broad daylight.

Police returned fire, hitting Watson 45 times. He reportedly died of a gunshot wound to the head.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office posted the the clip to its Facebook page after the state Supreme Court ruled earlier this month that dash cam videos of shooting involving police should be released as a matter of public interest.

No charges were fired against any of the officers involved.
